Proof that I sorta-kinda look like my caractiture up there.
Greetings! Welcome to my corner of the Internet. I am a 24-year-old grad student living in Tempe Arizona, it's not exactly silicon valley but that's the beauty of freelance design, you can work from anywhere.
In an effort to create an about section that actually imparts some knowledge on the subject (as opposed to all the ones you see that just consist of "I live here.") I am including a self-actualization project I did a few months ago where you try to make a list of your most interesting, and most arbitrary traits/opinions/etc... I always thought it made me look a little pretentious, but I do enjoy reading others so who knows. Enjoy!
- I put salt on almost everything.
- I have a B.S. in Economics and studied under a Nobel prize winner in the field.
- I played the drums for many years but have recently fallen out of practice because I have been forced to live in apartments - where drumming is frowned upon.
- My favorite fast food chain is Taco Bell.
- My least favorite fast food chain is Jack-in-the-Box. Gross.
- I’m six foot five inches tall, and terrible at basketball.
- I have 4 tattoos, and one of them covers the whole left side of my ribs, but none of them are visible when I wear Jeans and a T-shirt.
- My vision is pretty bad, but I only use glasses for driving and I’m afraid of wearing contacts.
- I like my steak extra rare.
- I use two 24″ monitors hooked together for all my design work. It takes up the entire desk.
- When I go to a club, I order Rum and Cokes (because they are cheap), when I go to a bar I get a Bass (because it’s delicious).
- Watching movie’s I have seen before, even if I love them, annoys me. Unless I am watching with someone who hasn’t seen it, then I get excited for them to love it too.
- I'm the second of four children.
- I hate red turn arrows, I feel like it’s the government telling me I’m not smart enough to decide if I can make the turn. I've been running them on every intersection without a cop or camera since I was 17.
- There was a rifle range (complete with guns) in the basement of my high-school, and this was after Columbine.
- I contracted whooping cough as a day old infant while staying in the hospital nursery. I nearly died.
- I have a nearly eidetic memory. The details I remember past conversations with can be creepy, so I often ask questions I know the answers to just so the current conversation seems natural.
- I prefer Red Vines to Twizzlers.
- I’m scared to death of snakes, especially the black mamba.
- I enjoy snowboarding.
- I use my cable TV subscription primarily to watch the Discovery channel and Seinfeld reruns.
- I have no interest in sky diving, and am not much of an adrenaline junky, but someday I will go cage diving with great white sharks.
- I have an extremely over active imagination and can entertain myself for hours writing non-existent screenplays in my head.
- In relative terms, I handle cold much better then heat. I start sweating immediately during the Arizona summer but can wear just a hoody through an entire Minnesota winter.
